Court Proceedings

Berkeley Solicitors would advise you not to deal with Financial proceedings yourself unless you have very minimal assets.

If you do decide to issue or defend your own proceedings you will need to make sure that you are truthful and obey directions given by the court, or you will be penalised in costs.

You will need to go to your local County Court office to ask for the relevant forms to bring a claim for "Ancillary Relief".

The law is not simple and no two cases are alike and generalistic terms such as 50/50 split, 2/3rds rule etc should be ignored.

We at Berkeley Solicitors are committed to relieving the stress, pain and misery of a matrimonial breakdown. You may leave all the dealings with the Court process to us. Call Adrian, a member of the Law Society's Family Panel, on 07000 ANYCLAIM or 07000 269 252 for expert assistance.
